Back in May of 2012, I felt compelled to address “The issue of homosexuality”, and I said that, “it’s of utmost importance that we understand the spiritual warfare going on here: this front has been carefully planned for by the enemy, Satan. His attack is going to focus on our feeble faith in the Word of God and how willing or unwilling we are to stand in our faith”. This is one of the front-lines through which the faith of Christians will be put through trial, and the test will be simple: welcome the flood of dissipation and perversion and escape the trials to come, or suffer the trials to come and take a stand in faith by God’s Word which declares His wrath to be poured out on all sexual immorality and sexual perversions.
And this is merely one of the front-lines by which Christians will be tested; we will see who is born of the Seed of Christ, who is compelled by His love, and who walks by faith in the guidance and witness of the Holy Spirit.
Those who are not born of the Seed of Christ will be consumed by their bonds to the flesh; they will not be willing to pay the price and give up the things that hold them in slavery to sin already.
Those who are not compelled by the love of Christ will be consumed by bitterness and hatred for those who are opposing their political and social ideologies; their stand against homosexuality will not be out of faith in God, but rather, it will be out of loyalty to a world view. I believe Christians should be warned that Christianity is not a “world view”. That is a humanist label that has weakened the faith of many Christians. Christianity is a way of life in which a born again believer follows Jesus Christ.
Finally, those who do not walk by faith in the guidance and witness of the Holy Spirit will be consumed by doubt and crumble under the heavy winds and waves that will batter the unstable and double-minded.
When I wrote this first article I felt that it was time for the Children of God to stand in faith and be obedient to the word rather than to culture.
We have so many Christians that are sleeping and not preparing themselves to endure things to come. The time is quickly running short, a time when you will wake up and discover that the purity of Scriptures are considered evil, the doctrine of God is reviled as demonic, and many will discover that their “lamps have no oil”.
THE FLOOD IS BUILDING
I believe that many Christians are deceived about this issue; this is not a political or social issue as so many Christians make it out to be. This is a spiritual issue, which I believe has been crafted by Satan to attack the Church in America. Again, this agenda entered America during a time when the political and social agendas were still opposed to it, and it has manifested itself with great sweeping force in spite of those political and social agendas. This is not a political or social issue. It is a spiritual issue.
Hillary Clinton has declared her support for homosexuality on the basis of faith. She is one in a long line of high-profile names to do this. Unfortunately, many believers have laid blame at the feet of politicians like Hillary Clinton or President Obama instead of taking responsibility to recognize that this agenda took root during a time when it was politically and socially unpopular because we have fallen asleep and did not shepherd the hearts of our children!
Rob Bell’s recent statements are most telling of the situation at hand; in a post aptly entitled “first hell, now marriage”, Rob Bell is quoted saying “I am for marriage. I am for fidelity. I am for love, whether it’s a man and woman, a woman and a woman, a man and a man. I think the ship has sailed and I think … we need to affirm people wherever they are”. He went on to criticize “the evangelical perspective” as, “narrow, politically intertwined, [and] culturally ghettoized. Evangelicals [need to] reject concepts about God that don’t actually shape people into more loving … people, and cease supporting destructive policies”. And most pointedly, Rob Bell reveals the end of this when he said, “we’ve done it in the name of God and we need to repent. Evangelicals [will] have to either die or adapt”.
Rob Bell has spoken with pin-point accuracy where I believe this agenda is going: “either die or adapt”. Bell likely meant that figuratively, though, Satan likely does not.
Homosexuality is not affirmed on the basis of faith, it is affirmed in spite of faith on the basis of fear and carnal rebellion against God in defiance of even God’s natural design itself.
SUFFER FOR THE SAKE OF CHRIST
“16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:16
“12 And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; 13 being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the dregs of all things until now.” 1 Cor. 4:12-13
“29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,” Philippians 1:29
“12 If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.” 2nd Timothy 2:12
The testimony that you are Christ’s is the witness of the Holy Spirit Himself, who bears witness with our spirit and testifies of it by righteous fruit in accordance with the holiness of God; and if He testifies that we are the children of God, then we are also heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
Brethren, it is time to “strengthen the arms that are weak and the knees that are feeble”. It is time that we labor, being reviled we bless, being persecuted we endure, being defamed, we entreat, even being made the filth of the world, we shall endure! And if we endure, we shall also reign with Him; but know, if we deny Him, He also will deny us.
Again, my brethren, it is time. Many have become fat and lazy, but it is time to wake up and prepare in Christ.
May our Holy Father in Heaven answer those who diligently seek Him above, Amen!
