I prayed and asked God to teach me the love of Christ. He gave me an incredibly hard day, filled with physical pain and emotional discouragement, and put in my path selfish and unlovable people – I don’t think I encountered a single “normal” person today.
I’m going to say something that is counterintuitive: I think we all need more hard days.
The reason we struggle to love other people is not that they are so unlovable, but because we are so unloving.
Beloved brothers and sisters, we don’t need “better days” to have more love in our life, we need Christ!
1 Peter 4:1–2 (CSB) — 1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding—because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished with sin—2 in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.
On our worst days, let us be finished with sin “in order to live our remaining time no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.” Amen!
So true! We ask God to give us more patience, and He gives us an opportunity to show patience; we ask Him to make us more compassionate, and He gives us an opportunity to show compassion. James 1:2-4 says it best: “Consider it all joy … ’’ You know the words! God bless

Excellent point, even if hard to hear. May God grant us the strength and mindfulness to learn about Christ’s love in our own lives.
