An encouragement to my Christian brothers and sisters as Halloween evening draws near:
1 Peter 5:8 (CSB) — 8 Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.
Hebrews 12:14 (CSB) — 14 Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness—without it no one will see the Lord.
Matthew 5:8 (CSB) — 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Galatians 6:7 (CSB) — 7 Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap
Be sober-minded in your discernment and be alert to Satan’s schemes as he looks for every open door to gain access into your life and enslave your passions, appetites, desires, and mind to sin through pleasure and spiritual deception.
Pursue peace and holiness, knowing that these are the necessities for a pure heart to see God. We never “take a holiday from holiness”.
And do not buy Satan’s lie because God will not be mocked: if you sow darkness into your life, you will reap sin, corruption, and death from it.
Stay strong in the Lord and be a witness worthy of the Lamb of God!
